Through our Child Sponsorship System, we match donors who commit to a monthly donation of 500 TL for a year with orphans and children in need in Türkiye. We share basic information such as the child’s name, photo, age, and educational status with the sponsoring donor.

Why is it important to sponsor a child?

In Türkiye, over one million orphans and children in need struggle to meet their most basic needs such as food, health, housing, education, and clothing. They face difficult circumstances such as loss of family members, poverty, migration, and social exclusion. Many are unable to continue their education due to financial constraints and end up spending most of their time on the streets, where they are exposed to various dangers. Unprotected children become prime targets for drug gangs and beggar mafias, potentially getting drawn into crimes such as theft, extortion, and assault.

Through our Child Sponsorship system, we aim not only to support the basic needs of children in need but also to prevent them from having to work, beg, or engage in criminal activities on the streets due to financial necessities. We hope that your support will help keep childrenin school, ensure their healthy and meaningful participation in social life, and their protection from the dangers of the street.

How can you sponsor a child?

You can apply to become a sponsor by filling out the Child Sponsorship Application Form. After your application, you can send your donation either via transfer to our bank accounts or by credit card through our online donation page.

Once we receive your initial donation, we will match you with a child within a month. We will send you basic information such as the child’s name, photo, age, and educational status by email. Additionally, by logging in to our website as a sponsor, you can track annually updated information about the child you support.

How much donation is required to sponsor a child?

In the Child Sponsorship System, you can sponsor a child with a monthly donation of 500 TL. If this amount is beyond your capacity, you can join our system by contributing 250 TL per monthand sponsor a child together with another donor.

How long can you sponsor?

The minimum duration for sponsoring a child is one year. Donors can set up an automatic payment order for up to three years on our website and renew their sponsorship for as long as they wish after the term expires.

We hope our donors will continue their support until the child they sponsor completes their university education.

Is it possible to make a one-off donation without a sponsorship commitment?

In the Child Sponsorship System, we also accept one-off donations without requiring an application or regular commitment.We use these donations to cover any shortfalls for a child in need within our project pool. If you’d like your donation to be sent to the same child each month and receive the child's basic information, you need to fill out the application form and commit to donating for at least one year.  

Are all children supported by the Child Sponsorship System orphans?

In addition to orphans, our Child Sponsorship System also includes children whose mothers and/or fathers are alive but who face severe hardships due to abandonment, illness, or poverty, and have been identified by our social monitoring teams as needing assistance.

How do we identify children to be supported through the Child Sponsorship system?

Our social monitoring teams, composed of social workers and volunteers, visit children's homes to assess their needs and gather information about the financial situation of the children and their families. We evaluate the information obtained through household assessments according to objective criteria with our aid evaluation commission to determine the social aid score of each family. We deliver monthly aid to the children included in our Child Sponsorship Systemwith a sense of community and an effort to establish sincere and secure human connections. Through regular visits, we monitor the financial and psychosocial needs of the children and their families.
